There’ so much to organise when you move home and as removal day approaches your head is going to be in a spin. The days will fly by so try to stay sane by checking items off your relocation checklist, if you haven’t created one yet use this one for free.

Okay that’s the six week checklist done, now let’s move things forward slightly and cover the two weeks before the house move.

Two weeks to go

By this stage you should pretty much have all the basics covered and be ready to start packing properly on the final week prior to the house move.  Or if you have taken the stress-free option you can leave all the packing to your removal company and simply start looking forward to your house move.

One last piece of advice we’d give you is to plan the day of the move with military precision.  Plan the journey to your new property, ask somebody to look after pets or small children on the day, pack refreshments and keep an ‘essentials’ box close by filled with tea, coffee, cups and the kettle. You’ll be dying for a brew when you reach your new home!
